Forcing us to be lockdown and not free

Never thought to be facing a pandemic

Listening advice from doctors and academics

Staying at home may feel like a prison sentence

Making you cry and lament

But you can turn it around and be content

If you think of your sins and feel repentance

Staying at home is to assure

Our contribution to put the virus under containment

Creating harmony at home will help us endure

The boredom caused by any lack of entertainment

These times can indeed be stressful

But we can make them less painful

By dedicating ourselves to read, learn, and pray

To increase in sympathy and love that to others we can convey

Use these times to reflect and repent

To ask forgiveness for the evil done to others

So later in life we won’t repent

Not to be at peace with our brothers

Let’s commit to persevere

To eradicate selfishness, envy, and pride

Because they will only interfere

Letting love pour out from inside

Be in peace to maintain self-control

By all means, we cannot say we are fine

If on the brink of despair, please ask for console

To keep body, mind, and soul aligned

Let’s not lose, then, our integrity

Daily attacked by thoughts of a great diversity

We’ll be strong to fight this adversity

If we walk along with God in unity

Would the death of people be in vain?

Would the suffering of many be our pain?

Will the millions falling sick mean something?

Will the loss of jobs make us hurting?

So, after all this, will it be all the same?

Would have we learnt anything?

Because if not, only us are to blame

For wasting the teachings, this time will bring

History has taught us that bad times are not long-lasting

We pray this time will not be otherwise

Let us keep our confidence and patience ever rising

Knowing that God and his angels are by our side

Still, we need to be in full capacity

To fight this pandemic with tenacity

Ask God for strength, courage, and wisdom

And we will succeed with the help of His kingdom
